I’m Back!

Grand Turk, 2014

Good morning, all!  I’m back after taking a week long vacation with my SO (Significant Other), and I just wanted to drop in to share a bit about my trip and new things coming for Curls Fo’ The Girls.  With that being said, let’s get started!

Last week, I spent my time relaxing on a ship and cruising through the Caribbean with my boyfriend.  It was our last hoorah before the school year (seeing that we are entering our graduate school careers) and it was a great opportunity for us to spend some time together since our relationship is long distance.  We laughed, danced and partied, and enjoyed some great entertainment as well as each other’s company.

Our original itinerary was changed due to a tropical storm, now Hurricane, forming in the Atlantic.  Instead of visiting the islands in the following order– Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Thomas, and Sint Maarten– we were rerouted and visited St. Thomas first, then Sint Maarten, San Juan, and Grand Turk.  We were excited about the original itinerary, but were extremely excited about the new trip.  We snorkeled in St. Thomas, Sint Maarten, and Grand Turk, which was actually a last minute idea, but it was well worth it.  We had lots of fun and it was hot as all hell!  However, I can’t complain about the heat and sun because it was what I wanted and my skin is nice and toasty. 😉

Now that we’re back home, we’ll be starting our graduate careers. With that said, there are going to be some changes for the site.  I will do my best to create new content for the blog in the midst of working and completing my school requirements.  It will be a tedious task, but I will do my best to ensure that you all have some updated material to read.  However, I would also like to open to the floor for guest bloggers!  If you have any content you would like to share with Curls Fo’ The Girls readers, I’d love to have you.  This includes pictorials, product reviews, and any beneficial material that comes to mind including beauty/makeup.  If you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them!

I will do my best at maintaining the social media as well since I always have my phone in hand, lol.  I’m a little nervous about the school year, but I’m excited about furthering my education.  Vacation was great, but now it’s time to really work!

If you have any questions about becoming a guest blogger, please shoot me an email at curlsfothegirls@gmail.com.  I’d love to hear from you!

P.s. Curls Fo’ The Girls is having a birthday soon (9/29).  Do you have any idea how we should celebrate?  I think it starts with a ‘G’. 😉

Until next time,
Ashley, xo.
